In order to improve your golf game and reach your potential, practice is the key to success. Learning how to practice and how much to practice is the difficult part. First of all, try to make your practice sessions interesting. Just beating balls without a purpose is not very beneficial. If you have just taken a lesson write down the key points of the lesson and plan your practice session just like it is a homework assignment. If you are an inexperienced player start with a short iron such as an eight iron and work on your alignment to the target, ball position, stance, grip, posture and balance and gradually work up to your longer On the putting green after you have stroked a few putts to get the speed of the green putt with just one ball and keep your score and see how many putts you take for eighteen holes. This is a fun drill and it will improve your putting stats. Remember, when you practice it is quality not quantity. |
