I'm just getting back into golf and I wanted to know what your favorite course is in Ventura County?

For public layouts, Rustic Canyon and Moorpark Country Club are excellent courses, and my favorites to play. If you have access to private courses in the area, Sherwood Country Club and Saticoy Country Club are outstanding, well-designed, and very challenging.

I think it is hard to just pick one for Ventura County. Given that we have almost perfect weather which makes the availability to golf year round - I would say that my favorite course(s) are: Soule Park, Sterling Hills, Moorpark CC, Rustic Canyon.

Rustic Canyon (for the layout, although it frequently plays too slowly), Elkins Ranch (great burgers and dogs at the turn, and a fun, retro vibe), Los Robles (for a fun, close-by, tune-up), and Sunset Hills is a fun layout if you know a member...
For Santa Barbara County courses - Rancho San Marcos, hands down!
