Welcome to Tee Club! I am Jon Ham, Tee Club’s Golf
Fitness Perfect Swing Instructor. I am a Certified Personal
Trainer, and have fallen in love with the game of golf since
I “retired” from being a gymnast at the University
of Illinois. I am well equipped to serve Tee Club and the golf
community with sound scientific and practical advice as well
as lending a helping hand.

My instruction in the Perfect Swing section
will be focusing on your body’s ability to create the
“Perfect Swing.” Most of the topics will be centered
on three aspects of your body’s health which directly
relate to your golf swing: Flexibility, Balance/Coordination,
and Strengthening. I will also touch on issues such as injury
prevention and posture. My goal is not to change your golf swing,
but focus on the body that is performing the swing. By creating
and maintaining a high level of fitness, you will not only have
more accuracy, distance, and stamina on the course, but prevent
golf related injuries as well. In addition, we all know that
when you take care of your body through proper exercise and
nutrition, you live longer and have an enhanced quality of life.
Eventually that equates to more golf, and more fun!!!
I am looking forward to serving you, and I know that you will
benefit greatly from my services. So keep your eyes peeled for
my columns, and I’ll see you on the course!
